Web Content Writer
Position will work with UR web team to create written content for the university's website - updating/rewriting existing content and creating, editing and proofreading new content. Successful candidate will produce written features, such as human interest and student success stories and profiles. Additional responsibilities include editing weekly student e-newsletter Bear Essentials, transcribing captions for videos, producing copy for select university social media channels, search engine optimization.
Required Skills: strong communication skills (written and verbal), proofreading, editing, knowledge of Microsoft Office, ability to conduct an interview with a subject to gather information for a story. Preferred skills: writing web copy, blogging.
