Business Advisory Services Internship 2021

With over 30 years of experience, Johnson Lambert is one of the nation’s largest insurance-focused firms that provides audit, tax and consulting services. We pride ourselves on the excellent reputation we have achieved while serving our clients in the insurance, not-for-profits, and employee benefit plan industries.

We are currently seeking Advisory Consulting Interns to join our Business Advisory Services (BAS) team in Atlanta, GA! Our BAS team works with our clients to improve their risk profile. We leverage our deep industry knowledge to efficiently scope engagements to focus on the highest risk areas.

Our Business Advisory Services include Risk Assessment and Gap Analysis, IT Audit Support, SOC Reporting, Internal Audit Outsourcing, and Co-Sourcing, Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery Planning, and System Implementation Reviews.

How you will grow as an intern:

  • Develop an understanding of the business and of the Business Advisory Services Associate role
  • Develop technical skills
  • Work as an effective team member to complete project components and assigned tasks
  • Build strong working relationships at peer and client levels
  • Gain knowledge and understanding of client businesses
  • Clearly and effectively document work performed
  • In conjunction with team directives, implement solutions for clients
  • Analyze client accounts and financial statements
  • Work with electronic audit tools in documenting a variety of audit procedures
  • Travel to client sites to perform audits and other assurance services
  • Engage in and assist in client interviews, primarily relating to internal controls and specific account analysis
  • Demonstrate an active interest in the business world by keeping abreast of market trends and business developments
  • Serve as an ambassador to university/college
  • Engage in firm social activities and events

What you’ll need for the job:

  • Declared major in Information Technology, Business Administration, or other relevant fields
  • Desire to pursue a career in business advisory services
  • Strong aptitude for technical work assignments
  • Minimum 3.0 GPA
  • Demonstrated track record of leadership on campus and/or in the community
