The Lankford Student Union Building Supervisor must be an undergraduate or graduate student enrolled at Longwood University. As a member of Lankford Student Union Staff, the successful candidate must be able to work independently in maintaining the regular operation of the building as the manager during the evening and weekend hours. This is a dynamic position that requires strong interpersonal skills and the ability to be flexible in both hours and in critical thinking. 

S/he will provide general assistance to the guests of Longwood University and the Lankford Student Union.

1)     Be available to work flexible hours, primarily weekday evenings and weekends

2)     Ability to interact with people

3)     Ability to communicate clearly with customers

4)     Ability to work independently

5)     Ability to do physical/manual labor

1)             To provide a positive client experience to all patrons of the facility.

2)             To insure that all meeting and event rooms are set in accordance with the guests’ requests, as noted on Trello.

3)             To lock and unlock rooms in the building as scheduled.

4)             To communicate with the Housekeeping staff in order to maintain a clean facility.

5)             To complete all necessary reports.

6)             To report maintenance and repair needs.

7)             To clear and secure the building at closing.

8)             To open the building on weekends and holidays.

9)             To post all daily schedule sheets in the appropriate locations.

10)         To enforce University and Student Union policies.

11)         To be responsible for one assigned specialized area within the University Center and Student Activities.

12)         To update social media regularly.

13)         To maintain a 2.5 GPA.

14)         To perform other duties as assigned.
