Data Manager

As a Data Manager, your key responsibilities will include: 
DATA PURCHASE: Collaborate with Purchasing to ensure Data Governance practices are implemented in the data purchase contracts while buying data from 3rd parties. 
DATA SUFFICIENCY: Assess the data sufficiency in terms of timeliness, completeness, availability, accuracy as well as readiness to be ingested towards P&G data ecosystem. Performs data readiness assessment to resolve whether data is sufficient to meet business objective 
DATA QUALITY: End-to-end ownership of the data quality across the full data life cycle – starting from data ingestion, thru data processing / harmonization up to data activation. Establish business and validation rules that define data quality in a measurable way. Track data quality using automation techniques. Report data quality and take corrective actions if quality metrics are not met. 
DATA INGESTION / HARMONIZATION: Collaborate with Development teams in charge of ETL process in order to secure the highest quality of data as well as define the data transformation/ harmonization logic to be in line with corporate master data. 
DATA ACTIVATION: Sets success criteria and quality controls for data activities in scope. 
DATA SECURITY & STEWARDSHIP: Establish proper archival, retention, privacy policies, notably Security Requirements and in alignment with overall security policies. Document and mitigate information security and risk. 
DATA STANDARDS: Establish data standards per data type for local Master Data. Maintain data dictionary (definition of data standards) and data catalog (information about data types available and how to use them). 
DATA GOVERNANCE: Define data management project scope based on business requirements. Assesses impact of data-related changes (data providers, sources, metrics etc.) on overall project success. 
DATA CATALOG: Metadata management repositories for data domain using corporate data catalog solutions and tools.
MASTER DATA: managing the master data for a given domain of data (maintenance of existing definition, managing the mapping rules, enable effective harmonization with other data domains).
Required:
    * A BS or MS/MBA in Library Science, Business/Management Information Systems, Computer/Systems/Industrial Engineering, Computer Science, Business Analytics, Data Science, Operations Research, Mathematics or Statistics. 
Preferred:
    * Experience with Data Stewardship and Governance, specifically with regards to Data Quality
    * Experience with using data to develop a business plan or idea
    * Experience with analytics tools such as KNIME, Python, Power BI, and Tableau
    * Experience with Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services, or Google Cloud
    * Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to leveraging storytelling to influence decisions
