Manufacturing/Quality Engineer

Position Responsibilities:
- Evaluate inspection findings for returned goods and provide disposition recommendations.
- Troubleshoot and perform root cause analysis on component failures and field returns using experimental and analytical methods.
- Identify appropriate corrective actions for quality issues and produce reports.
- Coordinate and control the status of and response to customer complaints.
- Provide technical support as required to product assurance functions while ensuring compliance with all quality requirements.
- Develop and implement new standards as needed.
- Support the company’s internal audit system and third party audits.
- Reduce cycle times on current product, increase yield, eliminate scrap and rework
- Design, assemble, and test of automation machines and process automation
- Develop and document detailed assembly processes and procedures from engineering drawings, BOM’s, quality standards and operating procedures
- Interface with tool designers to ensure efficient tool design
Position Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in a Mechanical or Industrial Engineering.
- Experience with ISO 9000/AS9100 requirements and auditing.
- Excellent problem definition and analytical skills.
- Strong communication skills - written, verbal and presentation.
- Experienced in tolerance stack analysis and design for manufacturability.
- Computer literate in Microsoft Office with the ability to quickly learn other Database programs.
- Proficient in English and able to compose written documents for dissemination to upper levels, suppliers and customers.
- An understanding of the electrical and mechanical aspects of coaxial connectors, components, and cable assemblies.
