The Sr. Market Analyst, Channel Development is responsible for supporting the development of strategic marketing activities including channel development, programs and promotions targeted at all assigned channels of Kohler Residential & Light Commercial products. This position will identify channel partner needs and business opportunities and develop programs to assist in selling product through the channels.
Specific Responsibilities
- In partnership with Channel Manager, develop and implement channel marketing strategies, programs and promotions targeted at all viable channels for KPS products.
- Evaluate channel effectiveness for the sale and distribution of product; recommend changes, enhancements or expansion to new channels as warranted.
- Properly present and protect the Kohler brand in assigned channels; including, distributor / dealer, builder, wholesale and internet channels.
- Develop marketing literature, sales tools and merchandising for channel customers that drives sales and is “on brand.” Develop sales training material for all channels.
- Plan, forecast and implement marketing programs and promotions for the channel.
- Include special promotions, buying opportunities, rebate programs, and ongoing support programs for product categories and market segments.
- Monitor the success, impact, and contribution of all programs, communicating this information to management on a timely basis. Drive growth and positioning of KPS and other Kohler brands in the assigned channels.
- Provide Product Management with ongoing analyses and evaluations of performance of programs, trends, potential demand, and competition, making recommendations to increase sales.
- Provide guidance and assistance to sales associates relative to their contact with retailers, distributors, contractors, builders, dealers and engineers to promote Kohler products in accordance with established objectives.
- Monitor competitor promotions for each product group. Apprise product management of competitor activities and changes in the marketplace.
- Serve as a liaison between sales and product management. Work with product management to analyze and evaluate the performance of product categories.
Skills/Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing or related field required.
- 5+ years experience in Marketing preferred.
- Experience working with channel partners preferred.
- Travel is required (approximately 20-30%).
- Must possess a keen analytical mind, be strong on planning, detail, accuracy, and be a demonstrably creative thinker.
