Video Production Intern

Project Title/Role: Making Sense of Science i3 Project, Video Production Internship
Project Description: The Making Sense of Science (MSS) i3 project serves teachers in Wisconsin and California by providing them with professional learning and leadership opportunities. The goal of the project is to improve students' understanding of science and literacy by strengthening their teachers' instructional skills. The Video Production Interns will assist with planning and producing a video series for teachers about education research findings. The videos will include valuable findings from MSS researchers, as well as teacher and administrator reactions. The interns will help with the following tasks:
-Prepare and edit videos
-Help MSS researchers prepare PowerPoint presentations of study findings
-Help MSS researchers conduct technical checks of their video equipment
-Recruit teachers/administrators for interviews
-Schedule interviews with teachers/administrators
-Respond to teacher/administrator questions and inquiries.
Industry: Education Research, Video Production
Duration: 40-60 hours
Stipend: $1000
Start Date: July 15th
Project Qualifications: Interns should have the following qualifications:
-Strong Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint skills
-Prior experience with video editing, or ability to quickly adapt to new computer programs and software
-Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work as a team member
-Demonstrated ability to coordinate work around multiple tasks and deadlines
