Organization Description:
Degy Booking International, Inc. comprises several music and entertainment related divisions under Degy Booking International, its worldwide booking agency responsible for over 2,000 events annually. The company operates primarily in the college, military, festival, PAC, sports and corporate markets. In addition to exclusively representing nearly 50 acts & dance events, the company is one of the largest talent buying agencies for national music artists, comedians, speakers and celebrities.

Internship Description:
This internship will be primarily an “at home” position, though face-to-face time with the office may happen at times during the course of holding the position. The Marketing & Publicity Specialists and Graphics & Design Interns will allow students to engage directly into the fabric of the company’s growth. Students will work hands-on with agents in the office to support them with research, publicity, marketing and more. Some projects may be fully information based and research driven via online work. Other projects will involve making outgoing calls, developing promotional and publicity campaigns, etc. Interns that have a web or database background will work on developing platforms that improve workflow in the entertainment field for the company. Individuals with experience in the design and graphics areas will work with the company’s web and design folks to build campaigns based on said strength.

Qualifications:
Aggressive, confident individuals who has a love for music and wants to learn about the business side of the music and entertainment industries. Must have good phone skills, strong organizational skills, and a willingness to participate right from the start. Should be comfortable with the internet, social media, and other online platforms.

Individuals should be able to work in a professional, business environment, but with a comfortable, laid back demeanor.

Wage/Salary:
Internship is unpaid, but Degy will help students receive college credit (if applicable).

Start Date:
Rolling hiring dates. Negotiable based on individual’s schedule and desires. Hiring now for 2020-2021.

Days/Hours Per Week:
Negotiable based on student’s schedule or outside work responsibilities. This will be discussed during interview and hiring process. Students must be committed to work a minimum of 15 hours a week over at least 3 days, but are welcomed and encouraged to put in as much extra time as desired and possible.

Deadline and How to Apply:
Hiring now for 2020 – 2021. Degy has a rolling application process. Interns can start at any time during the year as long as a commitment of three (3) months of work can be made by the individual.
