Spring Accounting Intern - 2021 or 2022

Job Responsibilities:
During your spring internship, you will work alongside our tax experts as well as travel offsite and meet clients with our assurance teams. We know that becoming a well-rounded accountant doesn’t happen the moment you walk in the door, which is why we give you many opportunities to see how all the pieces fit together. You can expect to receive a great deal of training from our in-house trainers and on the job; sit alongside your peers in an inviting, open concept area that has exposure to our leadership team; and will be given verbal and written feedback on your progress throughout the internship. Our goal is for you to learn what it’s like to be a staff accountant at our firm.
Requirements:
Accounting major
GPA: Overall - 3.2 minimum
U.S. Citizen/Permanent Resident (U.S.) work authorization
Start Dates: January – April
Hours per Week: 40+ hours in tax, assurance, consulting and special projects
Classes: We highly recommend our interns do not take classes during their internship so they can focus on the experience, therefore, if the applicant does have classes scheduled during the spring semester of our internship, schedule must be disclosed prior to accepting a Spring Internship employment offer with Somerset CPAs, P.C.
