Who should apply
- You are Bachelor or Master in-school students majored in modern and contemporary art history (1900-present), curatorial studies, art administration, or art management, and you are interested in working for art galleries, art fairs, auction houses, and art advisory firms
- You are bilingual with proficiency in English and Chinese Mandarin (preferable)
Requirements
- Excellent communication skills, resourceful solution provider
- Self-starter with a proactive attitude and a great sense of responsibility. Highly organized, detail-oriented, plan before action, can meet deadlines
- Skillful with Microsoft Office, mastery of Adobe Photoshop, FinalCut, of other graphic design and video editing software (preferable)
- Knowledge on Wix.com products with website editing hands-on practice (no need with coding)
- Great writing and documentation skills, can design and edit artists' work brochures, research documentation, etc.
- Know how to conduct academic research in art history, artist's background, creative process, or any related topics
- Emotionally stable, patient and diplomatic, can handle sensitive issues with strategy and tact
Your responsibilities
- Keep JY&A website up to date
- Produce artists' brochures for collectors
- Coordination with JY&A artists, collectors and collaborators for various tasks
- Writing and visual materials editing for JY&A branding and promotion
- Assistance in JY&A events' organization
- English-Chinese translation (verbal, written) and vice versa
- Work with Marketing/Sales Manager in JY&A branding and promotional plan
- Administrative work such as schedule meetings, interviews for the owner, book conferences, special programs, etc.
