Planet Money Intern (Remote) - Fall 2020
A thriving, mission-driven multimedia organization, NPR produces award-winning news, information, and music programming in partnership with hundreds of independent public radio stations across the nation. The NPR audience values information, creativity, curiosity, and social responsibility – and our employees do too. We are innovators and leaders in diverse fields, from journalism and digital media to IT and development. Every day, our employees and member stations touch the lives of millions worldwide and that includes our interns.
From day one, interns at NPR are given real-world, hands-on responsibilities. Working alongside top professionals in the field, interns do meaningful work across a variety of departments at NPR.
Across our organization, we’re building a workplace where collaboration is essential, diverse voices are heard, and inclusion is the key to our success.
NPR’s Fall 2020 Internship Program will be fully remote.
Program Duration: September 8 - December 11, 2020
Do you ever wonder about the future of work? Why a $60,000 handbag is always out of stock? What frozen chicken has to do with the price of pickup trucks?
Are you a Planet Money listener? Ready to hit the phones in search of the perfect guest? To be proud of your weird interests and follow them as far as you can? To pitch story after story? To write copy and be our voice on social media?
We’re a team of deeply curious economics and business reporters, and we love telling stories. Even though we’ve been around for awhile, we like to keep our show scrappy: To try new, ambitious things, all to help people understand their daily lives and the world.
We’d love to have you along for the journey, even if it’s just for a few months – we love to teach, and we’re looking for someone who’s eager to learn.
