Intern (Seeking business students)

Intern - Boca Raton, FL - Seeking Business candidates

Job Overview: This is an opportunity to work on a project with one of our large healthcare clients, a preeminent South Florida hospital system comprised of 10 hospitals, over 40 physician practices and more than 50 outpatient facilities. The project will assist client with a post-acquisition fixed asset reconciliation. The timing of this internship has not been determined yet due to the current state of the healthcare industry. However, we are collecting resumes for when the position opens.

Major Responsibilities:
  • Perform Fixed Asset Management services post acquisition of new regional hospital and related medical facilities
  • Project scope covers over 750,000 square feet across main hospital campus and multiple outpatient centers
  • Perform furniture and equipment inventory counts throughout the facilities
  • Affix new or replace tag/label on all major furniture and equipment items throughout the facilities
  • Compare physical inventory counts with existing inventory ledgers
  • Document and report irregularities with team lead
  • Evaluate why there may be missing items on the existing ledger
  • Identify and make recommendations as to which assets may require disposal due to poor condition and/or other factors

Desired Qualifications:
  • Availability to work from Boca Raton, FL for about 8 weeks. There is an opportunity for the engagement to be extended
  • Full time hours are preferred but part time applicants will be considered as well
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Excel preferred
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Some college preferred
  • Accounting majors preferred
