Avian Hospital Intern

Gain real life experience in a working Avian Hospital!

Duties include: caring for and feeding sick and injured birds, managing and maintaining facilities, and full rehabilitation experience of birds and hopeful release.

Through the internship, the student(s) will:

-Learn directly under avian veterinarians, specialists and vet techs.

-Conduct hospital procedures to stabilize intake birds.

-Observe and assist with avian operations and surgeries.

-Assist with the daily feedings of all avian species.

Duration: up to 20 hours per week.

Learn directly under nationally esteemed Vet Techs & Rehabbers, Barb Suto and Melissa Dollard.

Our 3-acre facility is located on the Gulf of Mexico, and we currently intake over 3,000 birds annually.
