Postdoctoral Fellow - Ovarian Cancer

A Postdoctoral Fellowship opportunity is immediately available in the laboratory of Dr. Lindsey Treviño. The primary project involves development and characterization of an in vivo spontaneous model of ovarian cancer. The ultimate goal is to establish this preclinical model for mechanistic studies of disease progression, to identify potential biomarkers of the disease, and for testing therapeutics (including chimeric antigen receptor T cell therapies) as part of a larger translational research team focused on ovarian cancer. This position will also support additional projects in the Treviño lab as they arise.  

 
 
Basic education, experience and skills required for consideration:
 
  • A Ph.D. degree in life or biomedical sciences, or a related discipline is required.
  • Ability to design and execute laboratory experiments, critically interpret experimental results, and present data in a clear and concise manner.
  • Ability to participate in the preparation of grant applications and scientific publications. 
  • Ability to conduct independent research and work effectively in a team.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Evidence of productivity reflected by first author publications in peer-reviewed journals.
  • Extensive experience with basic molecular biology techniques and animal models is preferred.
