This is a salary position with full and part-time schedules available to accommodate ongoing students.


Summary

This position is in the Office of the Kentucky State Office. This is a Pathways Intern excepted service position. This position is designed to provide a career-oriented introduction to the background, concepts, and scope of writing and editing functions in the state office and a practical understanding of the policies of the employing organization.


Responsibilities

  • Performs a variety of routine writing and editing tasks to gain experience and technical competence in the methods, procedures, and techniques of writing and editing in the federal government.
  • Responsible for drafting various routine documents in response to requests from Congressional and White House staffs, partner agencies, non-profit organizations and the general public.
  • Provides writing and editing support on special projects.Maintains suspense management and document control procedures.
  • Refers problems and issues to higher graded specialist or supervisor.
