FIRSTBANK SUMMER INTERNSHIP PROGRAM
Overview
The FirstBank Internship Program is an 8-week paid program that will give current students an opportunity to gain real life skills and experience in a professional environment. We are looking for individuals who want to know our organization, provide insight to their future careers and expose them to real-working experience, special assignments and projects within the financial industry. Priority will be given to incoming seniors or graduate students.
Job Description:
Components of the Program:
- Gain industry and organizational knowledge through daily business interactions and job assignments.
- Develop business, financial and analytical skills needed for career.
- Work on projects throughout the internship, using knowledge gained in classes to put together recommendations and illustrations.
- Present the results of projects and program experience to the leadership team at the end of the program, demonstrating the level of knowledge and understanding gained throughout the duration of the internship.
- Submit an Organization Evaluation on the students intern experience during the final week of the internship period.
- Prepare and submit to progress tracking log in a weekly basis
- Performs all work within an established time frame and ensures that work is done in conformance with quality work standards, projected hours, within established Company guidelines and regulatory compliance requirements
- Accountable for the management of assigned projects
- Mus be currently enrolled in college degree program, majoring in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Human Resources or a related field.
- At least 18 years of age
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills (both written and verbal)
- Computer proficiency with working knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Available to work program dates
- Mon- Fri approx. (8AM-5PM)
- Salary $14.00/ph

Minimum Requirements:
- Candidates must be enrolled as a full time undergraduate or graduated student.
- Must have completed two years of college by the beginning of the internship.
- Must have a GPA of 3.00 or higher
- Must be available for the end of May to the beginning of August.
