Marketing Gazette: Internship Opportunities
Marketing Gazette is offering a number of internship opportunities, ideally suited to students with a journalistic skillset. Candidates will gain an opportunity to participate in the daily output of the publication, and contribute to the Marketing Gazette website, newsletter and social media channels.
About the organisation
Marketing Gazette is a start-up web publication, offering news, insight and industry analysis for senior marketers.
Opportunities
We are looking to take on interns on a flexible, ongoing basis. These placements would be on a voluntary, unpaid basis for work experience, giving candidates an opportunity to gain real-world journalism experience, enhance their journalism skills, build their contacts book and develop their work portfolio. Help and guidance will be offered every step of the way. Candidates would be able to work remotely, dedicating as much or as little time to the work as they are comfortable with, and have the opportunity to attend industry events.
The role would involve media monitoring, and speaking to relevant stakeholders and experts in the marketing sector. The intern would also help produce news articles, conduct interviews and write in-depth features. Content includes news, interviews, ‘how to’ guides, profiles, listicles and case studies covering a range of topics, such as brand management, marketing campaigns, advertising, customer experience, content creation, design, mobile & web, video, data analytics and social media.
Key Requirements (any necessary training will be provided)
· Strong written skills and the ability to produce relevant news and feature articles
· Capable of media monitoring and independent research
· Comfortable with technology, particularly social media platforms & basic web editing
· Good interpersonal skills and a persuasive manner
· Enthusiastic and eager to learn
· Interest in digital marketing, brands, social media and general business journalism would be advantageous
