INTERNSHIP DESCRIPTION

At OnCLoud9, we are priding ourselves on developing a fun, colorful, stand-out brand that sets itself apart from other events and attractions. These efforts require creative minded people with strong work ethics to help boost our exposure in Los Angeles and beyond.  

The Social Media Marketing intern position will be responsible for helping drive our Social Media presence to boost exposure, influence and overall online presence. OnCloud9 is also seeking to partner with neighboring businesses to help install itself within the community and increase our brand awareness through these partnerships. The Social Media Marketing intern will be vital in driving this effort as well. 

This unique project also requires merchandising research, Public Relations and media content assistance, and eventually event management assistance. There is valuable experience in this to be earned that will stand out on any application and resumé. 





INTERNSHIP DUTIES 


  • Manage all social media accounts 
  • Organize and maintain a content calendar for social media
  • Work alongside our creative team to create fun, unique posts that align with our overall branding 
  • Research and present merchandising ideas and opportunities
  • Assist with public relations and research/writing priorities  
  • Cultivate marketing relationships with surrounding businesses 
  • Assist with event management
  • Assist project heads with overall project launch needs

REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS
  • Proven experience with social media content generation 
  • Strong portfolio of prior marketing and social media content 
  • Proficient with Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and Premiere
  • Experience with event-related planning and coordination
  • Working knowledge of principles of SEO including keyword research and Google Analytics
  • Demonstrates winning Social Customer Service techniques
  • Robust writing and research skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong analytical and multitasking skills
  • At least 3 years of progress or completion of a B.S./B.A. in marketing, communications, new media, public relations, multi-platform journalism, or related field of study
