Summer Camp Counselor
SUMMARY
Responsible for a group of one to three participants including assisting with personal care needs, participation in programming, and meeting the social/emotional needs of each participant.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. *Other duties may be assigned up hire
- provide care for participants by assisting them with activities of daily living
- guide participants throughout the day by taking them to meals, rotations, and actively engaging them with program activities
- fill out lodge paperwork and highlight paperwork in a timely matter
- establish a good connection with client parent’s at check-in and informing them of their child’s experience at check-out
- if assigned: report to sleep night duty or breaking duty to ensure safety of campers over night
STAFF REQUIREMENTS
- Must be at least 17 years old
- If you are a high school student, must have a valid work permit
- Experience working with special needs or children preferred
- Must be able to pass a background check
