Shared Services Internship -HR Organizational Development
RESPONSIBILITIES
The Organizational Development intern will be working on various tasks to provide support for Northwell Health's new, streamlined self-service platform. Polaris, as well as support the operating cadence and evolution of our HR workload management program.
- Partners with leadership to define project scope, establish goals, identify objectives, and create timelines
- Creates governance structures, project plans, and communication mechanisms to manage components of large projects
- Works with subject matter experts to ensure that major milestones are met in order to achieve the necessary dependencies
- Maintains project management tools, such as project charters, project plans, risk registers, issue logs, etc
- Tracks and compiles status reports to ensure proper awareness through all team members
- Identifies and escalates risks and issues as needed to proactively remove roadblocks or resolve problems
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATION
- Currently enrolled in Bachelor degree program, majoring in Business, Healthcare Management, Engineering, Technology or related field, required
- Knowledge of PowerPoint, Excel and Word
- Basic understanding of project management and process improvement
