About the Organization
Folia Water is a for-profit social enterprise company that is creating a new consumer good category: an antimicrobial filter paper containing silver nanoparticles that kill bacteria and viruses, priced as a mass market consumable and sold through enterprise scale partners. This award-winning patented technology addresses the pressing issues around the consumption of dirty water, where globally, 2.1 billion people drink fecally-contaminated water, with 50% of hospitalization in developing countries due to waterborne diseases.

Responsibilities Include:
- Perform laboratory microbiological and chemical analyses for antimicrobial filters for R&D and quality control
- Collect and analyze data to meet customer needs, R&D project needs.
- Be able to develop and document new testing procedures
- Oversee contract lab analyses
Requirements:
- Undergraduate or graduate student pursuing a major of microbiology, chemistry, or related field.
- Experience in a wet chemistry and/or a biology laboratory environment
- Highly organized with excellent data and record-keeping abilities
The Ideal Candidate:
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (which includes Word, PowerPoint and Excel) and scientific data analysis/graphing software
- Ability to work independently on multiple tasks
- Enjoys laboratory work
- Likes to tinker with new projects and brainstorm new ideas
