Data Analyst/Reporting Engineer

Responsibilities:
- Familiarize yourself with various sources of data used by our teams
- Use API best practices to import data from various sources in an effort to consolidate the information and improve decision making.
- Work with members from our Data Warehouse, Enterprise Applications, and Billing departments in an effort to understand differences and commonalities found between the various data sources.
- transform data into information that can be used for business decisions

We are looking for a passionate technologist to join a team of engineers to build and/or implement automated, cloud-based environments and tools to support our business analytical insights and reporting agenda. We are re-imagining how analysts discover, prepare and publish data at Verizon Media and this is an opportunity to display knowledge of your craft by having a hand in building reliable data applications.
You are:
- Actively pursuing a BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science, Big Data or related major
- educational experience in one or more of the following:
- Hands on REST API design and implementation experience
- creating data visualizations using tools like Tableau
- Experience using tools for exporting data into a report:
- SQL
- Python
- Java Script
- C++
- building data pipelines
- Data mining, machine learning, AI, statistics, information retrieval, linguistic analysis
- AWS system admin knowledge
