Network Coordinator
POSITION SUMMARY: The Network Coordinator is responsible for the oversight, support and maintenance of networks supported by SWWC Service Cooperative within the Cooperative and contracting agencies, as well as the SWWC Service Cooperative Wide Area Network Consortium. The Network Coordinator provides support to projects coordinated by the Senior Network Coordinator and Director of Technology.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
· Designs and implements network equipment including essential servers, routers, wireless networking equipment and other peripheral devices.
· Researches, provides guidance and implements approved network security best practices and implements industry approved network security standards.
· Assists in the planning, implementation and enforcement of acceptable security policies for the SWWC’s networks and Wide Area Network Consortium.
· Support active monitoring and proactive security measures for SWWC Wide Area Network and Local Area Networks for members.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Bachelor’s Degree and some experience in a job-related field OR equivalent combination of education, training, and experience in a job-related field that enables performance of all aspects of this position. Minnesota Power Limited Technician license is preferred. Cisco and/or Fortinet training and certifications are preferred. Valid Minnesota Driver’s license is required.
SALARY: Full-time position. Beginning salary $54,447 and up depending upon education, qualifications, and experience. Excellent benefits. Position to start immediately.
