Education & Outreach Intern
Metro Waste Authority is seeking an Education and Outreach Intern to assist with educating the community on MWA’s mission and programs. This position is a great fit for anyone excited about talking trash and having a positive impact on the environment.
Below is a sampling of the responsibilities of this position:
- Shares fresh, creative messages and curricula to educate targeted audiences.
- Recommends and implements community awareness and outreach initiatives.
- Coordinates and conducts facility tours and maintains tour guidelines and talking points.
- Assists with the planning of internal and external events, as well as presentations.
- Researches environmental issues and trends.
- Supports education programs offered at the Metro Waste Authority Environmental Learning Center.
Requirements
- Course work pertaining to education, communications, marketing and/or public relations, or related field.
- Valid driver’s license
