DESCRIPTION OF ASSIGNMENT

The intern will have the opportunity to learn about different types of reinsurance arrangements and the many benefits to life insurers. They will also be exposed to NLG’s reinsurance administrative platform and assist the reinsurance team as it upgrades to the latest software.

 TYPICAL JOB ASSIGNMENTS

1. NLG has recently expanded use of “EZ Underwriting” for its most popular life products. In support of this high visibility product enhancement, reinsurance arrangements have been modified and the new treaties need to be established within the reinsurance administrative platform.  

2. The reinsurance platform is being upgraded to the latest software. This is a significant effort and the intern will be asked to join the team in testing and validation of the new software.

3. The intern will assist in performing ongoing maintenance of the reinsurance administrative platform. This will include expansion of data attributes such as treaty types and plan codes.
