About this Job
The University of South Carolina Alumni Association is seeking three student summer interns who want to gain internship experience in marketing and sales. Students participating in this internship will receive real world training on how to market and sell Student Alumni Association (SAA) memberships to parents and incoming students during summer orientation.
Job Details
- 15-20 Hours Per Week
- 10 Week Internship
- $10.00 an Hour
- 10 Hours of Paid Time Off
- Free Parking at the UofSC Alumni Center garage (during the internship)

Duties and Expectations
- Promote and sell Student Alumni Association memberships at summer orientation events for freshman and transfer students.
- Work two weekly evening shifts to represent the Alumni Association at a reception for parents.
- Follow up with students and parents about SAA membership over texting, phone, and email.
- Set-up and break-down events, and ensure that membership packages are ready for sales.
- Hold regular office hours at the UofSC Alumni Center to complete administrative tasks.
- Help transition graduating SAA members to alumni members.
Mandatory Dates and Timeline
- Applications are due Sunday, February 2, 2020 at 11:55 PM.
- Interviews will be conducted in February.
- Decisions will be made by March 2, 2020.
- First day of the internship will be Monday, June 1, 2020.
- Orientation training will take place during the first week.
- The internship will conclude on Friday, August 7, 2020.
