This Surgical Scheduler I will be responsible for:
  • Under direct supervision and following established policies and procedures, coordinating the scheduling of inpatient and ambulatory surgical procedures for operating rooms according to predetermined block schedules and established policies and procedures.
  • Working with nursing, surgical and anesthesiology staff to monitor and evaluate scheduling procedures and develop strategies to promote efficient utilization of surgical suites. 
  • Coordinating surgical cases for multiple surgeons at multiple locations.
 
To qualify, you must have:
  • A high school level of educational development and one to two years' experience. Healthcare experience preferred. 
  • Analytical skills to gather and interpret data in situations in which the information or problems are relatively routine.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing and provide empathy in difficult interpersonal situations.
