Junior Interior Designer

Junior Interior Designer for Boca Raton interior design firm:

in.design is seeking a dynamic Junior Interior Designer whose vision complements the creative collective of their commercial interior design firm. You need to know who you are (confidence), where you’ve been (history) and where you would like to go (sky’s the limit). The firm specializes in healthcare interior design and has been involved in numerous projects, ranging in size and scope, nationwide.

Junior Designer Requirements:
·        Bachelor’s Degree in Interior Design or Interior Architecture.
·        Interest in commercial interior design.
·        Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, Microsoft Office, Photoshop and SketchUp.
·        Willingness to learn and receive constructive criticism.
·        Must be available for local and occasional out-of-state travel and be able to complete small projects with minimal assistance.

Responsibilities:
·        Participate in team/ client meetings as a valuable member. Contribute feedback, troubleshooting, brainstorming and technical information that is well founded.
·        Involved in all aspects of the design process including: design concepts, development (selection of fabrics, finishes, furniture and art), space planning, construction documents and contract administration. 
·        Capable of producing detailed construction documents/ specifications that include, but are not limited to, demolition/ new construction plans, furniture plans, wall finish and floorcovering plans, custom flooring details, reflected ceiling plan, interior elevations/ casework elevations and details, artwork locator plans, material and vendor specifications.
·        Prepare finish schedules, presentation boards, project notebooks and artwork specifications.
·        Create artwork directions/ locations and source appropriate media on a per project basis.
·        Able to learn how to produce a set of comprehensive furniture specifications to in.design’s standard with minimal assistance.
