Phipps is seeking a full-time Carpenter to perform routine and specialized carpentry and carpentry-related tasks, from basic framing to finish work. The Carpenter will be responsible for building displays for shows and exhibits, including designing displays from architects’ designs in support of creating a magical guest experience. This will include building, constructing, repairing and remodeling structures and other objects by cutting, shaping and joining wood, plastic, metal or other structural materials; repairing and replacing structures such as floors, stairs, doors, furniture, window frames, etc.; setting up scaffolds, stands, tables, and similar structures; building forms for concrete/cement; other related tasks as needed for proper Conservatory operation.

A high school degree, along with extensive knowledge and competency with carpentry methods, tools and procedures is required, along with a valid Pennsylvania driver’s license. Must be available all shifts, including evenings and weekends. The successful candidate will have an excellent work ethic and ability to work independently as well as with a team.
