Responsibilities


Our Family Office approach creates a culture of individualized, results-driven financial management and integration for our clients and their families. Our teams work with an average of 30 clients. We are able to provide resources at the highest level of service to help save clients’ time and money. We are seeking a dynamic, driven individual who is looking to be challenged daily on complex high-net worth U.S. and foreign income, estate, gift and other entity tax issues/matters. The individual will be a strong team player, client-facing, approachable and willing to invest time and knowledge with junior staff, whilst supporting seasoned account managers on the international team.Provide compliance and planning tax support to international team account managers and their clients as follows:

• Consulting and researching projects as they arise. Common issues include cross border equity taxation, international payrolls, tax equalization, taxation and structuring of foreign investments (PFICS, CFCs, PE / hedge funds), foreign tax resident complexities – U.K. remittance planning, U.K. account and entity structuring, foreign tax credit planning with fiscal year mismatch, 457A compensation issues, dual contract management, state residency planning, expatriations, cross border charitable planning, U.S. taxation of foreign trusts and foreign taxation of U.S. trusts, FLPs and non U.S. entities, foreign real estate purchases through entities.
• Tax compliance and planning for individuals in the following jurisdictions: UK, HK, Japan, India, Canada, Brazil and Singapore.
• Quarterly U.S. tax estimates are prepared for all clients in house. Review work prepared by junior staff and prepare ad-hoc calculations where needed.
• U.S. and foreign tax compliance - Work with outside vendor on tax return preparation by collecting tax data for the organizer, review drafts and ultimately deliver final return to client for signature. This includes any entities, trusts requiring returns and gift taxes and all foreign U.S. disclosures associated with the clients and their families, as well as annual foreign asset disclosure statements, managing foreign tax payments and overseeing quarterly estimate filings.
• Responsible for Federal, State and Foreign tax notices, enquiries and audits



Qualifications


• Bachelor’s Degree with concentration in Finance or Accounting; CPA, JD, MBA, CFP or MS Tax preferred
• Ten years’ experience in individual income taxes and expatriate tax experience with high net worth clients
• Working knowledge of other financial planning areas, such as foreign taxation of client’s investment portfolio, employee benefits, estate/wealth transfer planning and insurance
• Proficiency with MS Excel, BNA, and GoSystem
• Superior written and verbal communication skills
• Enthusiastic and positive approach to problem-solving and client service
• Proven track record with cross training, task-sharing and mutually supportive teamwork
• Innovative thought processes and pro-active time management and task completion follow-through
