Financial Analyst 3

POSITION SUMMARY:  Reporting to the Director, Finance, this rule supports corporate finance functions by communicating and working well across the organization, performing complex financial modeling, and assisting the Director primarily with the majority of financial analysis functions for the company.  
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 
  1. Complete financial modeling to support financial and business development needs.
  2. Maintain investor presentation materials and provide support in the raising of funds.
  3. Participate as needed in special department projects.
  4. Assist in company budgeting process including budget setup, modeling, variance analyses and liason with accounting and operations department personnel, as necessary.
  5. Assist in accounting processes as necessary.
  6. Performs other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM SKILLS, QUALIFICATIONS AND ABILITIES:
  • Education/Certification: A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting. MBA with emphasis in Finance preferred.
  • Experience: A minimum of three years of experience as a financial analyst, preferably in energy or utility field, an MBA may offset some years’ experience.
  • Industry Requirements: Eligible to work under Department of Energy 10 CFR Part 810.
  • Quality Assurance: Demonstrated understanding and implementation of quality assurance regulations, standards and guidelines of 10 CFR 50 Appendix B, 10 CFR 21, and NQA-1 preferred.
