Capitol Hill Fitness Center Intern

Agency: The mission of the Georgia Department of Public Health is: To prevent disease, injury and disability; promote health and well-being; and prepare for and respond to disasters.

Program Mission: To protect State of Georgia employees by preventing disease, injury and disability through the promotion of health and wellbeing.

Program Goals:
  • Provide programs and preventive services to employees that prevent disease, injury, and disability by advocating for and promoting health, leading change in health policies and systems, and enabling healthy choices.

Increase participation in DPH Worksite Wellness programs, specifically the Capitol Hill Fitness Center, by educating not only DPH employees, but all State of Georgia employees about health and well-being.

Job Responsibilities:

The Capitol Hill Fitness Center Intern will be assisting the manager and both Fitness Center specialists. Tasks will include a semester project, designing and facilitating monthly fitness programming, assisting with personal training clients and group exercise classes, posting flyers, designing bulletin boards, and regular maintenance of the fitness center.
