Chinese Business Services - Intern (June-August 2020)

Your role.
Forget about getting coffee and making copies. As an intern, you’ll be treated just like our entry level staff. You’ll help instill confidence in various organizations by assuring their financial health. We provide large firm-like structure, system, methodology and training as well as small firm-like closeness, attention and care to each staff member. We’ll give you the flexibility to craft business solutions, not just spreadsheets. Your work will include, but not be limited to:  

  • Assist clients with any phase of global business evolution, providing support in several areas, from analyzing foreign market opportunities to identifying important business issues (both in the accounting and consulting areas)
  • Execute business to business proactive outreach, primarily by telephone, to key contacts in targeted accounts within identified markets to generate awareness and interest in our services; identifies and procures profitable and targeted business opportunities for the Firm
  • Assist in development and review of financial models, analysis and delivery of data to support management decision making
  • Participates in client meetings and site visits while interacting with top-level management to acquire and assess important information for financial analysis
  • Participates with internal projects, including marketing material to intranet and firm website pages
  • Experience working with a wealth of business opportunities throughout a professional services firm.
  • Understand the nuances of Chinese business culture and etiquette
  • Provide support for companies in cross-border investments between China and the US
  • Very good understanding of the Chinese culture or acting as a business partner particularly in relationship to Chinese operating and investing in the West

The qualifications.
  • Detail-oriented leader with problem solving, communication, and analytical skills.
  • Pursuing a Bachelors’ degree in Accounting, Finance, or business related field.
  • Academic success (a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0).
  • CPA designation or pursing CPA designation is preferred but not required
  • Professional demeanor with superior communication skills (verbal and written) at the business professional level in both English & Mandarin Chinese.

This is a non-exempt position, so you may have to work hours that exceed the standard 40-hour work week. This position may require some local, national, and occasional international travel.
