PROGRAM BENEFITS

Participants in this training program are supervised/evaluated by federal government personnel and federal program team leaders.
PROJECT EXAMPLES
Infrastructure- building wheelchair ramps; establishing community centers; building playgrounds; repairing and painting public facilities; rehabilitate property
Construction- through a partnership between the federal government and Habitat for Humanity, participants have a range of opportunities
- Construction crew leader
Plays an integral part in leading volunteers to build and repair more homes.
- Community outreach coordinator
Plays a critical role in strengthening relationships through planning, coordination and implementation of projects in partnership with the community.
- Deconstruction coordinator
Assists with the management and execution of deconstruction programs, assisting with demolition of structures in order to reuse and recycle materials as a green alternative to landfills.
- Family services coordinator
Builds and maintains the pipeline of homeowner families by leading efforts to recruit and educate qualified families for both home ownership and home repair opportunities.
- Volunteer services coordinator
Helps recruit, train, schedule and recognize volunteers while growing the volunteer base and advancing individual and group partnerships.

We help revitalize neighborhoods. Many local Habitats in the United States partner with residents, community leaders and local groups to revitalize neighborhoods. Sometimes, their efforts include building new homes or doing repairs. In the past three years, local Habitats doing neighborhood revitalization also have participated in more than 7,500 community projects, from renovating community centers to helping build community gardens.
We’ve built more than 70,000 new homes and rehabbed or repaired another 100,000 homes through our disaster response and recovery efforts.
