Local Paid Internship, Fall 2019- Consulting, Business, Communications

Currie Associates, a small, successful and growing consulting company located in Queensbury, NY (25 minutes from Saratoga) is looking for a highly motivated individual to join our team as an Paid Intern. Currie Associates serves industries worldwide including clients such as Amazon and the United Nations.
 
This is a great opportunity for a student seeking a career in communications, marketing, consulting, or business. We are seeking an energetic, responsible intern to join our growing organization. In this position, you will gain experience working in a busy office environment. With several scientists on staff, students interested in sustainability/environmental science consulting may also gain career-building experience.
 
This internship position will provide support in the following areas:
 
·        Consulting: assist with coordination and execution of consulting projects
·        Communications: maintain and update websites, database, and social media posts
·        Marketing & Graphic Design: aid in the development of promotional materials, as well as email promotions and mailings
·        Global Representation: assist in the preparation of international meetings
·        Project Management: assist with managing training and consulting clients and staff projects
·        Publication Orders: process orders for regulatory manuals and publications
·        Meeting Registrations: assist with meeting and seminar registrations
·        Business / Office: perform clerical duties as needed
 
Qualifications and Requirements:
 
·        General business knowledge – some business courses or experience working in an office.
·        Working knowledge of Microsoft Office – Word, Outlook, and Excel is required. PowerPoint helpful
·        Working knowledge of project management software is preferred, but not required.
·        Ability to take direction and absorb information quickly.
·        Enrolled in a college degree program – Liberal Arts, Business or Marketing.
·        Strong communication (oral, writing and presentation) skills.
·        Manage confidential information with a high level of discretion.
·        Ability to manage multiple simultaneous tasks.
·        Highly organized with a deliberate attention to details.
·        Excellent teamwork and people skills.
·        Self-motivated and the ability to work independently and prioritize tasks.
·        Ability to be flexible and adaptable in a changing, fast paced environment.
·        Professional presence and demeanor.
 
Salary: $15 per hour

This internship is flexible in terms of scheduling but the right student must be able to drive to Queensbury, NY to the internship site. Internship may also be available for credit.
