MSU Hub Student Innovation Designer

About HUB Student Innovation Team
The Hub Student Innovation Team (SIT) seeks students who are human-centered, self-motivated, value a collaborative environment and are comfortable with working in design spaces and their associated moments of ambiguity. The SIT serves as a solutions incubator for Michigan State University students researching and addressing problems and opportunities in spatial design, classroom curriculum, campus culture, and technology while receiving training in design thinking, creative problem solving, and collaborative teamwork.

SIT is an interdisciplinary and experiential student group who is given the opportunity to pitch a project idea related to cultivating the future of the MSU college experience. In the past, the SIT has focused on research, student engagement, focus group facilitation, and networking with other MSU departments to create value. This year, the SIT is set to define how students understand how to be successful at MSU. The project idea is an extension of the previous work completed within the SIT. Students will be taught to apply Human Centered Design techniques to our design questions and challenges.
