Work Therapy Technician
Job Summary
Metro Resources Technology Park is located in Eden Prairie. MRTP offers community based job enclaves throughout the Twin
Cities. MRTP’s job enclaves are supported by job coaches that help ensure the job is done proficiently and at a high level. MRTP
also has individuals that are directly hired at a variety of different work sites. Vocational programming is person-centered and has
consistently utilized least restrictive techniques with the individuals supported there. Skill building areas are worked on through
vocational and curriculum training while on site or in the community. Job enclaves are based on a 1:4 ratio depending on the level
of need. MRTP has 5 Skills Development Specialists and 2 Work Therapy Assistants who serve as lead role positions for the
program, along with the supervisors who serves as the main go to for all areas needed.
Responsibilities include:
- Act as a liaison as a job coach between businesses for both facility and community based opportunities for program participants.
- Document supported person’s activities, progress and medical care by recording, summarizing and maintaining data in standard
forms and reports; meet legal and licensing requirements. Including following MSOCS policies and procedures regarding individual
funds and DT&H imprest/cash accounts.
Participate in daily operations of the site to meet licensure, legal and applicable accreditation requirements and to adhere to
established budgetary guidelines.
Minimum Qualifications:
To qualify, you must have a minimum of one-year experience implementing training programs for individuals who have a
developmental disability, mental illness, chemical dependency, and/or physical disability.
Maintain a valid Driver's License
