Mental Health Therapist

7,500 Sign-on/Relocation Bonus for Full-Time
Therapists work with individuals, groups and families to improve mental health and overall functioning in everyday activities. 
Residential Mental Health Therapist Performance Standards
  • Demonstrate a strong sense of compassion and commitment to helping people.
  • Provide individual, group and family therapy services. 
  • Through the therapeutic relationship, help clients identify treatment issues, define goals, plan action and gain insight
  • Collaborate with all members of the treatment team to assist clients in making progress toward goals. 
  • Make referrals to other support services when in best interest of client of their family
  • Serve as on-call therapist during assigned times. (only FT position)
  • Take regular inventory of own emotional well-being.
Outpatient Mental Health Therapist Performance Standards
  • Demonstrate a strong sense of compassion and commitment to helping people
  • Complete biopsychosocial assessments and identify mental health diagnoses in accordance with the DSM-5.
  • Through the therapeutic relationship, help clients identify treatment issues, define goals, plan action and gain insight. Develop and individualized treatment plan in conjunction with the client and their family.
  • Collaborate with all members of the treatment team to assist clients in making progress toward goals.
  • Provide individual and family therapy to assigned clients in an outpatient setting.
  • Collaborate with all members of the treatment team to assist clients in making progress toward goals.
  • Make referrals to other support services when in best interest of client of their family.
  • Complete necessary documentation and adhere to standards set forth by Gibault with regard to timeliness of documentation.
Requirements
  • Specified Master's degree in social work or related field required, license (or licensable) in social work or related field.
  • Previous experience in the clinical field and working with at-risk youth preferred.
  • All applicants must possess a valid driver’s license.
  • All applicants must consent to and pass a pre-employment drug screen and background checks.
