CU Innovations Fellow (Work-Study)

CU Innovations is looking for a work-study student for our fellowship program. The program has two tracks in the Licensing Department and one in the Venture Department. All three descriptions are below. Please indicate in your application which of the three you are most interested in and why.

Venture Analyst Fellow
  • The Venture Analyst Fellow will evaluate, advance and partner a portfolio of life science and digital health technologies and will execute on the plans for reshaping the innovation ecosystem at the CU Anschutz.
  • The Fellow will also assist in evaluating venture capital investment opportunities of promising technologies in the healthcare and life science industries.
  • The Fellow will work closely with physicians, researchers, health IT professionals, venture capitalists, and licensing associates to accelerate the impact of promising new innovations in healthcare.
  • The Fellow will assist in evaluating and decision making around strategic partnerships and investment opportunities. They will provide business insights and due diligence for hospital clinical validation and the CU venture fund primarily in the digital health and healthcare IT industries. 

Licensing Analyst Fellow (Technology Fellow)
  • The Licensing Analyst Fellow will evaluate, advance and partner a portfolio of life science and digital health technologies and will execute on the plans for reshaping the innovation ecosystem at the CU Anschutz.
  • The Fellow will also assist in licensing of promising technologies in the healthcare and biotechnology industries. The Fellow will assist in creating market summaries of available technologies, including creating technical summaries of inventions, as well as generating marketing documents for those technologies. Fellows may also assist in licensing disclosed technologies to third-parties.
  •  The Fellow will work closely with physicians, biotechnologists, health IT professionals and licensing associates to accelerate the impact of promising new innovations in healthcare. 

Licensing Analyst Fellow (Marketing Technology Fellow)
  • The Licensing Analyst Fellow will evaluate, advance and partner a portfolio of life science and digital health technologies and will execute on the plans for reshaping the innovation ecosystem at the CU Anschutz.
  • The Fellow will also assist in licensing of promising technologies in the healthcare and biotechnology industries. The Fellow will assist in creating market summaries of available technologies, including creating technical summaries of inventions, as well as generating marketing documents for those technologies. Fellows may also assist in licensing disclosed technologies to third-parties.
  • The Fellow will actively market CU technologies to potential partners and investors, including creating lists of marketing contacts and creating marketing campaigns for cases in cooperation with CU Innovations case managers.
  • The Fellow will work closely with physicians, biotechnologists, health IT professionals and licensing associates to accelerate the impact of promising new innovations in healthcare.
