Position Description: Communications Intern
Overview
CASSE is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization with the mission of advancing the steady state economy, with stabilized population and consumption, as a policy goal with widespread public support.
The Communications Intern will primarily assist with website development, graphic media design, and social media strategy. This internship is unpaid for 20-40 hours/week (or as appropriate for university internship credits) and only offered to currently enrolled college students.
This position has potential for long-term hire at the completion of the internship.
Skills and Experience
The ideal candidate would have knowledge of website development, graphic media design, and social media. This knowledge would be supported by technical ability and should be demonstrated on the resume with relevant academic and/or work experience. Experience in WordPress and Photoshop is desirable.
Student with interest in sustainability preferred.
Supervision and Logistics
Supervision: The Communications Intern is supervised by the Administrative Director. Given instructions and guidance, the Communications Intern is expected to be knowledgeable and self-motivated. The Executive Director prioritizes duties as needed and has final discretion on CASSE operations.

Term of Internship: Term of internship is somewhat negotiable but will generally follow academic semester for start and end dates. We are also seeking interns for the summer months.
