Finance Analyst

Cervello is looking for an experienced, fast pace, energetic individual to join our team as a Finance Analyst. A successful candidate should possess a hard-working, flexible, team oriented and savvy personality.  

Responsibilities
  • Responsibilities include supporting all aspects of finance, operations, accounting and bookkeeping such as client billing, AR/collections, vendor payments, month-end close support, cash management, contract management and reporting.
  • Classify, record, and summarize numerical and financial data to compile and keep financial records to ensure company's financial records are accurate
  • Audit and compile reports from various sources, to identify and resolve discrepancies in a timely and accurate manner in accordance with company standards.
  • Check figures, postings, and documents for correct entry, mathematical accuracy, and proper codes to ensure company records are accurate.
  • Support month-end close, bookkeeping, general ledger balancing and reconciliation of accounts.
  • Accurately manage client account finances, including billing, reporting and coordinating with project managers. 
  • Verify accuracy of billing data and revise any errors to ensure company is properly billed and remits funds in a timely accurate manner.
  • Support accounts receivable team, working with project managers and clients to ensure timely payment of invoices.
  • Support Cervello’s FP&A function with data collection, report generation, variance analysis, and data quality monitoring
  • Interact with Cervello’s operations team, management team and consultants
 
Required Skills and Experience
  • Bachelor Degree in Accounting/Finance or Business Management/Administration
  • Well organized individual, able to manage multiple priorities and deadlines at the same time
  • Highly motivated, energetic, self-starter with excellent oral and written communication skills
  • A creative individual with strong problem solving and critical thinking skills
  • Experience working with highly confidential information
  • Detail oriented with strong analytical skills, high comfort in working with numbers and data
  • An individual with high ethical standards and an appropriate professional image
  • Excellent computer skills.  Beneficial to have knowledge of advanced features of accounting, financial, reporting software as well as programs such as: MS Excel and MS Word.
  • QuickBooks and OpenAir NetSuite experience preferred, not required
  • Demonstrated ability to roll-up sleeves and work with team members in a hands-on capacity
