Overview

The Mind Research Network is currently seeking one or more MRI Technologists to perform magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) procedures in support of cutting edge scientific research on our Siemens 3 Tesla magnet. The MRI Technologist will prepare facilities and research participants/patients for MRI scans. Scanning sequences may include functional and structural scans, DTI, spectroscopy, MRA, contrast scanning and cerebral vascular reactivity challenges (medical gas). MRN is dedicated to advancing the diagnosis and treatment of mental illness and other brain disorders, using multimodal imaging, genetics and other research methodologies. In addition to scanning, the technologist will calibrate equipment, prepare contrast and materials as needed, assist with protocol development and testing, along with related administrative duties. Our imaging technologists work closely with the scientists, research staff and operations teams to create a positive and collaborative environment.
 
In addition to full-time, we will also consider individuals who can work part-time or on an as needed basis.  

Qualifications


Associates degree in radiology and at least 2-3years of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities and have been attained. Must have American Registry of Radiologic Technology License or the MRI advanced certification. Must be CPR certified. Knowledge of Siemen’s software platform preferred.
 Requires strong interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate with a wide range of individuals in a research setting environment (more team interaction with a variety of staff members). Requires strong written and verbal communication skills, the ability to work independently and as a part of a team. Must have the ability to learn department-specific computer systems as needed.
