Requirements:
- Engineer In Training (EIT) preferred, but not required.
- Experience with HVAC & Plumbing engineering consulting designs.
- Understanding of commercial, industrial, and institutional facilities with ability to interpret and communicate applicable design codes, standards, and specification requirements.
- Ability to assist in scheduling, budgeting, and projects throughout all phases of consulting/design and construction.
- Self-motivated, strong interpersonal skills, and comfortable in a team environment.
- Solid communication skills—both verbal and written.
- AutoCAD, Revit (preferred, but not required), and Microsoft Office Suite skills.
Job Description:
Position would be working directly under an Engineer to assist with HVAC and plumbing systems designs. Candidate should be comfortable to work with either CAD or Revit or both in order to assist in creating, marking up, and editing drawings. Use of Excel tables and templates. Perform calculations as appropriate as well as sizing of equipment and systems. Assist with probable construction cost opinions. Assist with code review and technical performance specification documents. Correspond with Architects, Engineers, Vendors, Contractors, Project Managers, Authorities Having Jurisdiction and other parties to gather information and assist with the design process.
