Development Coordinator
Position Title: DEVELOPMENT COORDINATOR
Department: DEVELOPMENT
Reports To: DIRECTOR OF STRATEGIC PARTNERSHIPS
Salary Range: COMMENSURATE W/ EXPERIENCE
General Purpose:
The Development Coordinator works in support of the Director of Strategic Partnerships to identify, qualify solicit, and steward revenue opportunities for the organization. This position will focus specifically on sponsorship development, public partnerships, and foundation support.
DELIVERABLES
- Overall
- Manage relationships with entry level sponsors, partners and foundations including cultivation, solicitation and execution of contracts
- Support the Director of Strategic Partnerships in developing overall sponsor marketing materials, proposals and communications
- Develop and maintain communication with stakeholders
- Manage and maintain program contact forms and participate in the creation, delivery and maintenance of contracts
- Collaborate within the development team to identify synergies and shared goals between the sponsorship, membership, granting, and donor programs
- Sponsor & Foundation Management and Development
- Originate and manage in-kind and entry level sponsorship relationships and development efforts, including communications, tracking and wrap reporting
- Identify new companies and businesses to engage and manage initial contact
- Manage the CRM platform to increase internal efficiency and reporting processes
- Manage communications and deliverables for sponsor programs and activations in support of the Director of Strategic Partnerships
- Assist in the research and identification of available grants and assist in writing proposals and grants that align with the values and mission of the organization
ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Provide a positive overall experience for entry level sponsors, partners and foundations ensuring high retention rates
- Network, make new connections with prospects, and identify new opportunities for outreach
- Broad understanding of corporate missions and brand identity
- Manage temporary seasonal staff and volunteers for program support
- Represent ArtPrize locally, promoting cultural engagement and event accessibility
Minimum Job Requirements:
- EDUCATION
- Bachelor Degree or equivalent work experience
- EXPERIENCE
- 2+ years in fundraising/development, ideally in the Non-Profit Sector
- REQUIRED SKILLS
- Ability to create powerful, compelling written and oral communications
- Excellent interpersonal skills, specifically with professionals and sponsors
- Entrepreneurial outlook and drive with initiative and determination to achieve goals
- Ability to communicate professionally and confidentially with high-level community leaders and public officials
- Ability to establish and cultivate strong relationships with peers across different levels of the organization, internally and externally; team player
- Ability to identify and respond to issues and opportunities in a timely manner with professionalism
- Ability to balance multiple competing priorities, complex situations and meet tight deadlines
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to think creatively about new avenues for funding
- Computer skills in Microsoft Word and Excel in addition to a working knowledge of database systems
- Flexible schedule – this position requires working occasional evening and weekend hours and additional time during ArtPrize
- PREFERRED SKILLS
- Experience with large-scale events and programs
- Experience in fundraising
- Experience in marketing and communications
- Familiarity with the Adobe Creative Suite
- Familiarity with Salesforce, Raiser’s Edge or other CRM platforms
