Video Production Intern
Position Summary:
An ideal Video Production Intern is inspired. Hungry for excellence. Someone who dreams of making films constantly, who can find a filmable story in anything. The role is cinematography heavy, and is geared toward filmmakers who want to expand their visual storytelling skills to a professional level and beyond. We are seeking a candidate to join our team for the first few months of 2019, working in between 15-21 hours a week depending on demand. College credit is negotiable.
Responsibilities and Duties:
· Management, assembly and usage of professional grade cinema gear.
· Working on professional productions in the role of a P.A. or as a 1st Assistant Camera.
· Reliable delivery of creative input when prompted.
· DIT and Assistant Editor work, such as creating bin structures for footage transfer, pulling selects, and creating assembly timelines.
· Professional development coursework.
Requirements:
· A working knowledge of best practices in handling and maintaining film equipment.
· A strong work ethic.
· Flexibility in a fast-paced environment.
· Experience working with NLEs such as Adobe Premiere, Da Vinci Resolve, Final Cut Pro, etc.
· Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite products, especially Photoshop, After Effects, and InDesign.
· Familiarity with optics such as ISO, shutter speed/angle, aperture, light temperature etc.
· An ability to communicate effectively with precise language.
Beneficial:
· Previous professional Camera/DIT experience.
· An intimate familiarity with Da Vinci Resolve.
· A working knowledge of color grading and nodal workflows.
· Familiarity and experience with the RED camera workflow.
· Being able to write emails in simple English.
· Knowing how to light a set properly.
Bonus:
· Strong people/presentation skills.
· A strong sense of aesthetics and graphic design.
· A strong command of language in creative writing.
