Arts Management Intern | HUBBARD STREET DANCE CHICAGO
The Arts Management Intern will work directly with Hubbard Street staff to support the producing activities of Hubbard Street Dance Chicago. The Arts Management Intern will also provide support to the Artistic and Production Staff as assigned. The key learning objectives for this internship include:
- Participate in all aspects of the company’s contractual and logistical operations
- Coordinate Choreographer and Designer contracts and payments
- Track company touring, performances, and repertory
- Process royalty payments to Artists and Designers
- Obtain music rights and negotiate royalties with composers and record labels
- Coordinate and maintain video archives for use by choreographers and dancers
- Maintain electronic calendars for the Company touring and the corresponding itinerary
- Assist in the management of studio reservations and associated policies, including preparation for guest artists and community events
- Assist in the coordination of travel, housing, per diems and associated reimbursements within the allotted budget
- Assist in series and tour budget tracking and reconciliation
- Coordinate catering and hospitality for dancers and production staff
- Create and process the appropriate Visa applications for guest choreographers, repetiteurs, musicians, designers, etc.
- Participate in all aspects of the company’s contractual and logistical operations
- Coordinate Choreographer and Designer contracts and payments
- Track company touring, performances, and repertory
- Process royalty payments to Artists and Designers
- General tasks such as mailings and filing, including potential for archival work
- Further opportunities available based on specific interests and skills.
- Other duties as assigned.
