BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT ASSOCIATE
This role will be responsible for the Business Development of both Six Spoke Media-Digital Marketing Agency and Alloy Collective-Event Venue and Event Production.

ABOUT THE ROLE
We are looking for an energetic Business Development Associate to help drive our sales and grow the business. This role is for someone who wants a lot of responsibility and autonomy and is willing to do whatever it takes to succeed. We move quickly and don’t take no for an answer, easily. You will attract new clients and build solid relationships with them while maintaining existing relationships. Other duties will include market research, developing business strategies and pitches, managing a variety of projects, and identifying new business opportunities. You will work with both the Six Spoke Media – Digital Marketing team as well as Alloy Collectives- Event team.
The successful applicant will be resourceful, organized and motivated to increase sales, enhance the company's reputation, and look for new and creative ways to market our services. A background in sales or marketing is strongly desirable.
RESPONSIBILITIES
● Willing to familiarize yourself with the company's vision and mission, seeking to accomplish set goals and objectives.
● Conducting market research and identifying potential clients.
● Cultivating strong relationships with new clients, while maintaining existing client relationships.
● Collating and maintaining client information in the CRM database.
● Working closely with staff across departments to implement growth strategies.
● Developing and implementing sales strategies, client service and retention plans, and analyzing sales data to inform or update marketing strategies.
● Draft business plans, sales pitches, presentations, reference material, and other documents as required.
● Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently and meet deadlines.
● Identify new business opportunities and partners.
● Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills with the ability to engage effectively with various levels of management, staff, and clients.
● Respond to inbound sales inquiries in a timely manner and provide detailed descriptions of our services and offerings
● Oversee relationships with contacts on event booking platforms such as Peerspace and EventUp and keep listings up to date
● Strategize pricing structures for services and understand client facing costs, business costs, and profit.
● Maintain, develop, and manage relationships with external vendors such as caterers and rental companies.
● Manage sales quotes and contracts
● Work hand in hand with accounting department to ensure invoices are paid according to schedule.
● Update internal communication and file sharing systems (Hubspot, Slack, Asana, Egnyte) with all pertinent information regarding inquiries and sales.
● Manage scheduling and execute on-site visits for prospective clients at the event space
● Manage and catalogue photos from events to be used for marketing and sales purposes
● Maintain and develop relationships with partner event venues. Attend networking

REQUIREMENTS
● Bachelor's Degree in Business Management, Marketing, or related field.
● 1 - 2 years' relevant work experience in business development or similar field preferred.
● Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
● Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and work under pressure.
● Strong organization and project management skills.
● Friendly and personable demeanor.
● Proficient in Microsoft Office and relevant software.
● A “nothing is impossible” attitude.
