INTERN, WORKSITE WELL-BEING PROGRAM (JOB ID: 1582)

MVP Health Care’s internal well-being program, ourMVP Well-Being, strives to create the healthiest workforce in the United States by creating solutions and a supportive environment to engage and educate coworkers to improve and maintain optimal well-being. Our 2019 strategic plan has a number of exciting goals and objectives that we hope to achieve. The program intern would help support a number of those goals and would have the opportunity to assist in and take the lead of many different projects, such as:
·         Maintaining company wellness-related policy change proposals
·         Assisting in development of program evaluation plan and reports
·         Assisting with major program communications
·         Work plan management
·         Assisting with implementation of strategic planning outcomes
·         Assisting with the development of new wellness programs
·         Performing other duties as assigned
 
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum Education: 
·         Participation in Bachelor’s/Master’s program in a health or wellness related field required.
 
Required Skills:
·         Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills required as the intern will be a representative of the well-being program.
·         Strong written and verbal (informal and formal) communication skills required.
·         Ability to exercise discretion in handling confidential information. Good judgment skills and initiative.
·         Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple assignments with attention to details and deadlines.
·         Ability to maintain a professional demeanor in tight deadline situations.
·         Ability to interact and effectively communicate with persons at all levels within and outside of MVP Health Care both in person and via telephone.
·         Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Publisher, PowerPoint, and Excel.
·         Knowledge of health promotion program development and/or evaluation.
