Special Events and Fundraising Internship Fall 2019
This internship reports to the Relationship Department. The department is responsible for special events, donor relations, corporate sponsorship and fundraising for both Proctors and theREP. Responsibilities include planning and executing fundraising events, prepare and deliver donor communications and events (which can include scheduling backstage events), assisting with solicitation efforts, collecting data for potential donors, patrons or prospective donors. This position is available in the Fall, Spring and Summer, some nighttime and weekend hours may be required. Ideal candidates will be interested in planning and executing events, working in a non-profit industry, be detailed oriented, have customer service experience, be organized and have moderate computer skills.

Internships are designed for undergraduate or graduate students to have an in-depth experience of working in a not-for-profit theatre company. Training can be supplemented with discussions and workshops with directors, designers and senior staff who provide insight into the overall management of the company. Interns’ relationships with their supervisor ensure that they are not only gaining valuable skills but also receiving support and feedback. Internships are part-time Monday-Friday with occasional nights and weekends (anywhere from 8-20 hours/week). They take place year-round during the Spring, Summer or Fall semesters. Applications will be considered on a rolling basis.
