Education Intern, Spring 2019 at Local Children's Museum

The Children’s Museum at Saratoga seeks an education intern to assist with Museum programming for visitors. Responsibilities for the education intern will include planning and implementing activities for museum programs, such as Tuesday for Tots, Science Explorers, Crafty Crafters and more.
The Children’s Museum at Saratoga programs are designed to introduce preschool readiness skills, foster creativity, and encourage social development in young children. The Museum intern will be mentored in creating programming that meets these needs, and will discover how the informal education setting of the museum complements and enhances the learning that goes on in homes and schools. The internship requires approximately 10 hours a week, based around the candidates schedule and the museum’s operating hours.
 
Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
·    Assist the Education Director with museum and group programs as well as birthday parties.
·    Research and develop new program ideas for museum visitors.
·    Generate craft/art project ideas for programs.
·    Generate program and exhibit improvement ideas
·    Assist with community programs around the Saratoga Springs area.
